Roomology is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based interior designer Susie Kurkowski, founder of her own budding firm, DesignCorp, and owner of interior design studio and store named Items of Interest. Roomology is where Susie documents her inspiration to operate Items of Interest.
Items of Interest (IOI) is a retail store and interior design studio with a tightly curated selection of home goods and furniture. We feature unique, design-forward goods sourced from US and NYC based designers.
While working in the field as an interior designer, Susie found herself having trouble finding the right furniture for her clients. Not being able to find her aesthetic in most stores, Susie set off on a quest to create a store where the joy of design was evident again. Susie believes in visually stimulating furniture with character, comfort, and superb craftsmanship.
IOI also houses a full-service interior design studio. We help clients make their home spaces functional, visually interesting, and fit their lifestyles and budgets.
IOI’s services include:
• Whole house interior design
• Furniture layout and selection
• Paint color consultation
• Lighting plans
• Construction documents
• Window treatments
• Flooring and carpets
• Kitchen & bath design
• Artwork selection/gallery walls
• Home organization
Centrally located off 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Items of Interest regularly hosts events showcasing the talent of local artisans; as well as educational forums on various aspects of interior design.
We hope you like what you read! And please comment, like Roomology and Items of Interest on Facebook, and all that good stuff.
